We don’t like to play favorites here at Shootdigital….but we’d be lying if we said our faces don’t light up like a gas station on fire when we get to see this adorable pooch running about the cafe. So HAPPY SECOND (or is it really 14th?) BIRTHDAY to the littlest ball of puppy dog fun, Grouper! (and of course we love you too Hector, but that goes without saying, right?)

Friday night I was lucky enough to hear the talented Sophie Coran play at Bardo Heights, and I have to say; I was blown away. She captivated the crowd with her  sultry voice, and had our hearts singing along to those bluesy melodies. (check out her amazing bluesy/folksy/indie rock tunes here!) Not only does she have an intoxicating voice, but her lyrics will cut you with their wit, and are wise beyond her years in that old-soul kind of way.

Sad you missed out on the chance to see her? Don’t be! Because you have been granted TWO more chances to see Sophie live! Where and when you ask…?

Shootdigital, their eco-friendly building, and T&J Construction have teamed up with The White Roof Project on getting their approximately 13,000 square foot roof painted white this season. We were inspired by a staff member getting involved in The White Roof Project’s “Model Block” endeavor, which entailed painting the roofs of an entire city block white just down the street from our own DeVinne Press Building, in an attempt to lower local ambient air temperature and reduce unnecessary energy use. A white roof can end up saving a building’s electric bill up to 40% while also reducing smog and helping decrease the heat island effect by reflecting 85% of incoming sunlight. We’ve had a few costumes up in the studios today.  First, we have a case of the Freaky Fridays (or actually, Mondays) going on with Bri and Emma (better known as Bremma – get it?). Did you catch the switcheroo action going on? And secondly, we have a few of sd’s studs in flannel, cuffed jeans and sexy spex. I’d say this was them dressing up as triplets, but to be quite honest, this is just a normal day at Shoot.
